Daesan Head House, the head house of Hansan Lee Clan (also known as Yeongnam province Soho-ri Lee Clan)

Daesan Head House is the head house of Hansan Lee Clan (as known as Yeongnam province Soho-ri Lee Clan), which is located toward the west direction in Soho Village(current Iljikjeogok-ro, Mangho-ri)

The Anchae(inner room) of the head house is placed on the back of the main house with a large yard in front, with a separate space on the right for Sadang(shrine) surrounded by the square shaped wall.

Head House of the Hansan Lee Clan in Daesan was originally a large scale, however since it was destroyed by fire, deteriorated while it was empty for 3 years under Japanese colony. So it was rebuilt in smaller scale along with remaining historic heritage of Daesan Shrine, Keunsarang Mansujae House, Choryo, Geungamjeong Pavilion and Cheongheodae Pavilion. 

A high conservation value Historic House, built in traditional style

This house is built in 1930s based on the original Head House of the Hansan Lee Clan's Daesan head house. Even though it was built in modern days, it was built by the traditional method so it has high preservation value.

The ceiling of Anchae(main structure) is decorated with 5 layers on front and side, there are Anbang and Sikbang on the front and side along with 2 rooms of Daecheong each. On the side, there are kitchen and Gobang. 

There are three rooms on the right side of Daecheong, it is called Taesil(Placenta Chamber) right by the south gate.

In Taesil, Daesan Lee Sangjeong, who has developed the Toegye theory, and his brother Sosan Lee Kwangjeong, his son Lee Wan(Gyori), Lee Donwu(Yijochampan) and his great grandson Jeongjae Yu Chimyeong were born. 

There are two rooms of Sarangbang on the right, and two rooms of Hangrangchae on the left.

Sadang space is consisted of Naesammun and Sadang. The ceiling of Sadang is connected each other in "人" shape and it has three rooms in front and one on the side. Inside of it, there is Master Daesan Lee Sangjeong's Sinwi(monument) as well as 4th generations of monuments on the side.
